Youth Athletic Programs

In today’s busy world, it is important for youth to engage in regular exercise. The Park District offers several options for your child to help improve cardio-respiratory fitness, build strong bones and muscles, control weight and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.

There are also benefits to sports and the Park District offers options for learning competitive sports in camp and league settings. The benefits of being involved with sports include developing self-esteem, leadership skills, better communication skills and stronger relationships with teammates. Participation in sports also teaches respect and time management.
