Due to the major renovations at Lions Park Pool this summer, all aquatic programs at the facility, including the Sea Lions Swim Team will be suspended for the 2025 pool season. The Park District staff conducted a search for a nearby pool facility to rent which would accommodate the Sea Lions swim team. We faced challenges in securing suitable practice times and higher rental fees which would significantly increase costs for the team while providing a less fulfilling experience compared to last season. We understand that many Sea Lions swimmers will be seeking a place to swim this summer, and we’re pleased to share that the Hinsdale Recreation Department has generously welcomed our swimmers to join the Hinsdale Stingrays for one year at their pool facility at a resident rate. This opportunity ensures consistency in scheduling for practices and meets, affordable program fees and will allow swimmers to continue competing in the Western Suburban Swim Conference. The Park District looks forward to welcoming back the Sea Lions, aquatic programs, and members to the newly renovated facility in 2026.
