Project: Lions Park Pool Facility Renovations
The Park District retained FGM Architects to begin the schematic design phase, design development phase, construction document phase, bidding phase and construction phase for proposed renovations at Lions Park Pool Facility.
Plans include adding new recreational amenities such as waterslides, spray park and upgrades to the mechanical systems. Construction will begin in summer of 2025 and be completed by Memorial Day weekend of 2026.
The Park District has retained IHC Construction Companies to function as the Park Districts’ Construction Manager.
The Park District received the Village Building Permit for the Lions Park Pool New Mechanical Building and Aquatic Features. IHC Construction Companies will begin renovations at Lions Park Pool on Wednesday, June 25.
While Lions Park Pool is closed for the 2025 season, Clarendon Hills residents can purchase a Hinsdale Pool Pass at a resident rate. Residents need to bring proof of residency to the Village of Hinsdale to receive this discount.

Project: Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) Accessible Improvements
During the fall of 2024 the Park District made a major improvement to the Prospect Park playground by upgrading the surface material to a Poured-in-Place (PIP) surfacing material. This playground surfacing material allows ADA accessibility to the entire playground for individuals and their families.
Project: Prospect Park Courts Renovation
The Prospect Park Courts Renovation is completed.


Project: Hosek Park Master Plan
The Park District retained Hitchcock Design Group to begin the Program and Analysis phase, Schematic Design phase and the OSLAD Grant Preparation phase for the recreational improvements at Hosek Park. Preliminary plans are for: an accessible pathway to the sport fields, gazebo. basketball court renovation, natural area overlook, and other minor recreational amenities. The Park District will be applying for an OSLAD grant this fall to assist in paying for these recreational improvements. The Park District should be notified early next year if they receive a grant.
Meeting Cancelled:
The Open House public meeting which was to be held on August 25 from 6pm-7pm at the Park District Community Center to discuss the Hosek Park Master Plan, has been cancelled.
