- To “make” ice, we need a 3-5 day forecast where the daily high temperatures are sub 32 degrees. This is necessary to establish good ice base. Once a good ice base is established, the quality and usability of the ice is determined by weather factors, maintenance issues, and/or patron use.
- “OPEN” signs will be displayed, and the entrance gate will be unlocked when ice rinks are deemed usable.
- Lights are on a timed “ENERGY SAVER” system and are activated with the push of a button from dusk until 10:00pm.
- Please read the “To Use Lights” and “Caution and Warning” sign at the rink.
- Rinks are not monitored, and parents are responsible for supervising their children while using the rinks. Skating is at your own risk.
- Report any issues to the Park District at (630) 323-2626. For emergencies dial “911”.
