Be a Sea Lions swimmer!
The team is centered on summer fun, stroke technique, and competitive swimming. The Sea Lions is part of the West Suburban Swim Conference that competes against seven area Park District and Recreation teams. The 7-week long season has daily practices with dual swim meets scheduled topped off with an end of the season Conference Championship meet.

Meet The Coaches
Coach – Jennifer Lawler
Jennifer Lawler is an elementary school teacher who has been teaching 18 years. This is her third year at the pool as the swim lesson supervisor. She has many years of swimming experience and has been swimming since she was six. She swam on age group teams, in high school and in college. She has her own child swimming on the team again this year. She is very excited to be heading the swim team this year.

Things to Know
Parents are required to attend the Parent Meeting Wednesday, May 25 at 6:00pm at Lions Park Pool Pavilion. Parents will receive the Team Handbook along with key information to make your swimmer’s season a success.
New swimmers are required to complete a swim test at the first team practice, Wednesday, June 1. Swimmers are required to swim 1 length (25 yards) of freestyle and backstroke unassisted. If the swimmer is unable to swim the required distance a refund will be issued. Swimmers need to be registered by the first day of practice.
Swimmers will compete in a Mock Meet on Saturday, June 4; 8:00am warm-up followed by 8:30am start. Swimmers will swim freestyle and backstroke to record a time, which determines placement on the “A” or “B” teams.
Parents are essential to making a swim meet happen. Each parent is required to volunteer for 2 dual meets in order for your swimmer to compete in a Conference Meet.
Team suit and apparel is not required, but popular with swimmers. Visit the Sea Lions Swim Team Store at the Park District website. Order early! The store closes May 13.
