Meet The Coaches
Coach – Olivia Sommer (Coach Liv)
Hi guys! My name is Olivia Sommer (Coach Liv), I just graduated from Hinsdale Central High School and will be attending University of Missouri this fall. I was a swimmer for 6 years and was first introduced to the sport at the Hinsdale Pool. This is my second year working for Clarendon hills pool, my first year I was a lifeguard and I am really excited to experience swimming from the coaches perspective. I also taught swim lessons 2 summers ago at YMCA camp MacLean. Swim is a great sport and I can’t wait to help create better and stronger swimmers!
Coach – Brianna Comstock
My name is Brianna Comstock. I’m 16 and going to be a junior at Fenwick High School. This is my second year working at the pool but first year coaching as I taught swim lessons last year. I swam on sea lions between the ages of 7-10 and have been swimming on west swim club as well as for my HS team since then. I look forward to this new experience and getting a chance to teach all the kids on one of my favorite teams to be apart of.
Coach – Jennifer Lawler
Jennifer Lawler is an elementary school teacher who has been teaching 18 years. This is her third year at the pool as the swim lesson supervisor. She has many years of swimming experience and has been swimming since she was six. She swam on age group teams, in high school and in college. She has her own child swimming on the team again this year. She is very excited to be heading the swim team this year.
Coach – Jenni Gibbs
Jenni is attending University of Missour, where she is studying elementary education. This is her fifth year working for the park district. She is returning for her second season at the pool. She has been a lifeguard as well as a camp counselor. She swam on the sea lions team for four years. She has volunteered at the Hinsdale Humane Society and throughout the community. She is very energetic and enthusiastic for this season.
Coach – Kevin Jay
Kevin is returning for his third season at the pool. He has been a swim instructor for the past two summers. He just graduated from Hinsdale Central and will be attending University of Wisconsin, Madison in the fall.
