Things to Know

Parents are required to attend the Parent Meeting Wednesday, May 25 at 6:00pm at Lions Park Pool Pavilion. Parents will receive the Team Handbook along with key information to make your swimmer’s season a success.

New swimmers are required to complete a swim test at the first team practice, Wednesday, June 1. Swimmers are required to swim 1 length (25 yards) of freestyle and backstroke unassisted. If the swimmer is unable to swim the required distance a refund will be issued. Swimmers need to be registered by the first day of practice.

Swimmers will compete in a Mock Meet on Saturday, June 4; 8:00am warm-up followed by 8:30am start. Swimmers will swim freestyle and backstroke to record a time, which determines placement on the “A” or “B” teams.

Parents are essential to making a swim meet happen. Each parent is required to volunteer for 2 dual meets in order for your swimmer to compete in a Conference Meet.

Team suit and apparel is not required, but popular with swimmers. Visit the Sea Lions Swim Team Store at the Park District website. Order early! The store closes May 13.

Team picture is Friday, June 10 at 9:30am at Lions Park Pool.
