Adult Programs (18 years + unless otherwise stated)

Take time in your schedule for YOU! The Park District offers programs to Get Moving or Learn Something. Some programs are offered in conjunction with surrounding communities (Darien, Downers Grove Hinsdale, Lisle & Westmont).

Get Moving…

Ballroom Dance – join instructor Mark Harvey for Beginner and Intermediate/Advanced level classes. Offered year round at KLM Lodge.

Basketball – Open gym on Tuesdays at Clarendon Hills Middle School Gym ($3 resident/ $5 non-resident nightly fee) – enter and pay through the Park District.

Dance (Not Your Mother’s Line Dancing) – join instructor Janet Kruse for fun class which is perfect for individuals looking for a dance class. Offered year round at Darien Park District.

Fencing – year-round program for ages 8 years and older offered through Fencing Sports Club.

Fitness Membership – Clarendon Hills residents are offered resident rates at Westmont Park District Fitness Center (fitness classes included in membership) located at 424 Plaza Drive.

Fitness Punch Card – take classes at Westmont Park District Fitness Center buy purchasing punch card (6, 18 and 27 class options).

Adult KaratePickleball – Hosek & Prospect Tennis Courts have Pickleball courts for your enjoyment.

Shotokan Karate – year-round program for ages 4 years to adult offered through Illinois Shotokan Karate Club.

Softball – 16” Mens Softball League – summer league with games played at Hosek & Prospect Park.

Suburban Adult Athletic League (S.A.A.L.) – NEW in Spring 2020, adults are invited to gather friends, co-workers, family and join a league. Spring 2020 leagues include Co-Rec Kickball, Floor Hockey and Co-Rec 16” Softball – all games played in neighboring communities.

Taekwondo – year-round program for ages 4 years to adult offered through KH Kim Taekwondo.

Tennis – USTA lessons offered in summer and fall under direction of Tennis Director Matt Burghgraef for ages 4 years to adult – summer and fall classes offered.

Learn Something New…

Each season offers new classes. Here’s a sampling:

College Planning – classes are offered every brochure – from “How to Plan Without Going Broke” to “5 Strategies for Successful Applications”.

Computer Operating – learn how to maximize computer programs. Offered at Lisle Park District.

Photography – join instructor Mike Smith for Beginner and Intermediate classes. Offered at Darien Park District.

Retirement Planning – classes to help navigate the road to retirement.

Special Interest – “Sip & Decorate”on December 9 – sip favorite beverage (cash bar) while decorating Gingerbread House (pre-assembled and candies provided).


Active Adults (55+)

Active AdultsMake Clarendon Hills Park District a gathering destination for weekly programs, trips and special events!

Luncheons – three Free luncheons are offered each year Spring, Summer and Holiday. Buffet lunch and live entertainment.

Trips – day trips offered each month in conjunction with Lemont Park District. Transportation on motor coach. Upcoming trips: Fall Foliage (October 17), Remembering Marshall Field’s at Christmas (November 21). Registration deadline one month prior to trip.
