While we believe in the philosophy that children learn through play, we strongly believe in meeting the developmental needs of the whole child by providing an extensive curriculum that will prepare your Active Learner for later school success. Our primary aim is for each child to develop a love of learning and a positive self image. We plan daily experiences that will help provide positive self-esteem, promote independence, and help the child develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually in a safe and fun nurturing environment. The Preschool Staff are well-trained and highly educated in Early Childhood Education, recreation trends, and keep current with the standards set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
We are currently accepting registration for the Fall 2013 Active Learners Preschool Program. We offer a three day a week program for both 3 & 4 year olds. The Preschool Handbook can be downloaded or can be picked at the Clarendon Hills Park District Community Center.
